Ironman Diary 6.15.13

Great time with my coach Katie Berghausen. We jogged/power-walked through the VERY hilly Percy Warner loop in our boots. My legs were a little sore after, it reminds me how much work I have ahead of me… and I’m ready to take it on!

A little about my coach; Katie not only is a great triathlon coach, and friend, she also happens to be Nurse in the Army Reserves.  A big shout out to Katie for serving our country and helping me to get to the finish line of my very first Ironman 140.6 in combat boots. Can I get a big Semper FI?! [Yes, I know that’s a Marine thing.. Hey, I’m a Marine Mom what can I say..]
